IFSA Annual Meeting 2025 – Registration, Programme & Book of Abstracts

We are pleased to announce that the Annual Meeting of the Irish Freshwater Sciences Association (IFSA) will be held on Friday 21 March 2025 at the Ulster Museum, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The meeting showcases Irish freshwater science and will be of interest to researchers and those involved in the management of water resources. This year’s theme is: Freshwater Ecosystem Restoration and Conservation – Challenges and Solutions.

The meeting will have three sessions:

  • Session 1: Theme – Freshwater Ecosystem Restoration and Conservation – Challenges and Solutions (talks 12-15 mins).
  • Session 2: Open Theme – Ongoing and Finished Projects (short talks 7-10 mins).
  • Session 3: New Science and Research (elevator pitches – 2 mins).

Abstract submission closed on 7 February 2025 17:00.

**As in previous years there will be a prize (or prizes) for best student elevator pitch. Please indicate in your abstract submission email if you wish to be considered for student prize(s).**
